Moving Day
The mover's arrived yesterday and got straight down to business. It's kind of sad watching your stuff slowly disappear around you and reality sets in that your life here is over. While we are both excited about our new adventure ahead of us on the east coast, we are sad to have to leave this place. We both enjoyed living in Tokyo and would have liked to have stayed here a bit longer, but it wasn't in the cards this time...i'm sure we'll be back.
Last night after the mover's finished, we checked into the hotel and then went out to my favorite local Hawaiian restaurant here. You're probably thinking - it's your last few nights in Tokyo - why Hawaiian food? Well, I know that there is Japanese food in Boston (along with awesome fresh fish and sushi) but is there any authentic Hawaiian food in Boston??? I doubt it. Plus, I had never taken Hiromi to this restaurant. This is the same guy that put on the big Hawaiian party that was in the blog earlier.
After a nice loco moco and Kalua Pig dinner, we did some Karaoke! We hadn't done that in a while and Jr. was dancing around inside the stomach having a good time. After that, we just went back to the hotel and crashed - it's been a hectic week and I have only been getting a few hours rest each night - so it was good to finally get a decent night's sleep.
The mover's arrive again this morning in about 15 min to finish up here, than tomorrow I'm on a plane to Boston and Hiromi heads to Osaka
