Inu no hi (Dog Day) at the Nakayama Shrine

So, I know the content of this post is also a bit old, but I’m trying to get caught up. In the Osaka region, it is good luck to go to the Nakayama Shrine on "Dog's Day". The thinking goes - Dogs have an easy time to give birth and this particular shrine is good luck for Mothers, so if you combine the two, you are sure to squeeze out some healthy puppies - like this little bald kid below.

This is Sayori's first kid, Kanta. He's quite the handful while mom had a full size watermelon belly. He's quite alright, as all kids his age, he's got lots of energy and he wants to learn how far he can push the boundaries. What am I getting myself into?!?!?!
Unfortunately, I forgot my camera this day, so all these pics were taken with my mobile phone. This is a big pot with incense, the smoke brings you luck so make sure and get lots of smoke in your face. The Chinese characters on the front of the bowl say Nakayama Shrine.
